CTD-M 6.25/25 Tablet ER

CTD-M 6.25/25 Tablet ER is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is prescribed when a single medicine is not enough to control blood pressure. This tablet also reduces the risk of future heart attacks and strokes. It may be taken with or without food, preferably in the morning to avoid nighttime urination. Continue taking the medicine even if you feel well, as uncontrolled blood pressure can be dangerous.

CTD-M 6.25/25 Tablet ER slows the heart rate and makes the heart pump more efficiently. It also increases urine output to eliminate excess water, which lowers blood pressure. Long-term use reduces risk of stroke, heart attack, kidney damage and other serious complications.

Most side effects do not require medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine.

Common side effects include:

• Nausea, Constipation, Diarrhea, Fatigue
• Headache, Dizziness
• Slow heart rate
• Low potassium levels
• Glucose intolerance, altered lipid levels
• Cold extremities, low magnesium
• Increased uric acid levels

Take exactly as prescribed. Swallow whole with water. Do not chew or crush. Can be taken with or without food but preferably at a fixed time daily. Do not stop without doctor’s advice.

CTD-M 6.25/25 Tablet ER is a combination of:

Metoprolol Succinate – A beta-blocker that reduces heart workload and slows heart rate.
Chlorthalidone – A diuretic that removes excess water & electrolytes to lower blood pressure.
