CTD-M 50mg/12.5mg Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), especially when a single medicine is not enough. By helping to control blood pressure, it reduces the risk of future heart attack and stroke. Early treatment may improve survival after a heart attack.

It can be taken with or without food, preferably in the morning to avoid frequent urination at night. Continue taking it for as long as your doctor advises. Do not stop this medicine on your own even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms. Lifestyle changes such as regular exercise, weight control and a healthy diet further support blood pressure control.

CTD-M 50mg/12.5mg Tablet works on both the heart and fluid balance in the body. It slows down the heart rate and reduces the force of contraction, which lowers the workload on the heart. At the same time, it increases urine output to remove excess water and salts.

CTD-M 50mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination of two blood pressure-lowering medicines:

Metoprolol Succinate: A beta blocker that works mainly on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood.
Chlorthalidone: A diuretic (water pill) that lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also helps relax blood vessels and improves blood flow.
