CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet

CTD-T 12.5/40 Tablet contains two medicines that help control high blood pressure. Regular use reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke. It contains a diuretic (water pill) that increases urine output, therefore avoid taking it within 4 hours of bedtime. Take it daily at the same time for best results, even if you feel well. Stopping suddenly may increase risk of serious cardiovascular problems.

CTD-T 12.5/40 is a combination of Telmisartan and Chlorthalidone used when a single BP medicine is insufficient. Telmisartan widens blood vessels to improve blood flow and lower pressure. Chlorthalidone removes excess salt and water through urine. Together they reduce risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.

Most side effects disappear as your body adjusts. Contact doctor if persistent.

Common side effects:

• Dizziness
• Back pain
• Sinus infection
• Diarrhea
• Skin ulcer
• Nausea
• Headache

Take as advised by your doctor. Swallow whole with water. Do not chew or crush. Can be taken with or without food. Take at the same time daily. Do not stop suddenly without medical supervision.

CTD-T 12.5/40 contains:

Telmisartan – Angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels allowing smoother blood flow.
Chlorthalidone – Diuretic that removes extra water and electrolytes through urine; also improves circulation.
