CTD-AZ 40/12.5 Tablet

CTD-AZ 40/12.5 Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing blood vessels which improves blood flow and makes the heart more efficient at pumping. It also removes excess water and certain electrolytes through urine, helping in blood pressure control.

It can be taken with or without food but must be taken at the same time daily. Do not miss any dose and do not stop taking it without medical guidance, as sudden stopping can worsen blood pressure control.

It may cause dizziness or weakness, especially at the start of therapy, so avoid driving until you know how the medicine affects you. Drink plenty of fluids.

Most side effects do not require medical care and improve as the body adjusts.

Common side effects include:

• Dizziness
• Tiredness
• Low potassium level
• Low blood pressure
• Increased creatinine level
• Increased uric acid level

Take this medicine exactly as prescribed. Swallow whole with water. Do not crush or chew. May be taken with or without food but preferably at the same time every day. Continue taking it even if you feel well.

Azilsartan Medoxomil: An angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure.
Chlorthalidone: A diuretic (water pill) that removes extra water and salts from the body, decreasing pressure inside blood vessels.
